McHenry County Democratic “Democracy in Bluem Dinner.”.2024
I had the pleasure of attending the McHenry County Democratic. Inspirational speeches to get us fired up for the election. Speaker Chris Welch was the guest speaker. He was introduced by Representative Susan Ness. State Central Committeewoman Kristina Zahorik was presented with the Party Builder Award. The event was sold out! Great job McHenry County Democrats.
Early Childhood Advocacy Days
This past week I had the honor to travel to Springfield to meet with legislators. The capital was full of advocates meeting with legislators to discuss the early childhood initiatives, such as the proposed Early Childhood Department. It was great to see advocates working instead of paid lobbyists. Democracy is not a spectator sport!
Take Back The Night DeKalb
April is National Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Safe Passage hosted the annual “Take Back the Night Event.” The turnout was amazing, and brave survivors were able to share their heartfelt testimonials. Thank you Safe Passage for an amazing event. I was honored to take part in it.
My First Fundraiser!
10/17/23 was the first fundraiser of my campaign and was held at the Sycamore Golf Course Clubhouse. I was greatly encouraged by the support I received and it helps to energize me for the long road ahead! And we were treated to a short speech from Chuck Rose about his campaign for DeKalb County State's Attorney. Thanks Chuck!!
